Dane Meets Prairie Girl
We came up with the concept “Dane Meets Prairie girl” to highlight the different elements of design that the clients were drawn to. Hints of Nordic influence are displayed throughout their beautiful home. From furniture passed down from their Danish family, to the cutlery and salty liquorice in a bowl on the kitchen counter, there is always a subtle Danish reference in this Winnipeg prairie home.
We chose minimal sleek lines, contemporary stainless steel fixtures and simple geometric shapes. With an unexpected twist on the usual Nordic style of stark whites we introduced natural materials in rich, deep earth tones to give the space an inviting prairie warmth.
